Temple of Boom
“Temple Of Boom!” combines the thrill of a dungeon crawler with the fast-paced action of a platform shooter, challenging players to survive onslaughts of enemies in a claustrophobic temple setting. This game offers both single-player and cooperative two-player modes, with the option to choose between a narrative-driven campaign and a high-intensity endless mode. The game unfolds across three distinct temples, each unlocking sequentially as players advance.
In the initial temple, players navigate a room constructed from brown and tan bricks and stones, armed initially with a gun. The gameplay emphasizes survival tactics, as enemies—including bipedal monsters, robed figures, and giant spiders—emerge from both sides of the room. Unlike the player’s avatar who can run and jump, these adversaries exhibit unique abilities like wall-climbing, adding complexity to the combat dynamics.
Players employ guerrilla tactics reminiscent of airsoft or paintball to evade and counter-attack these threats. Strategic use of the environment and quick reflexes are key to surviving. As players progress, they can access an arsenal of weapons hidden in treasure chests throughout the temple, such as pistols, crossbows, bazookas, blade launchers, and phaser rifles. Managing resources like ammunition and health kits, which can be picked up along the way, is crucial to maintaining stamina and firepower.
“Temple Of Boom!” also allows two players to either collaborate to survive the waves of enemies or compete against each other in an arena mode, making it a versatile game that caters to different play styles and preferences. Whether teaming up with a friend or going solo, players are in for a challenging experience filled with intense shootouts and tactical gameplay.
