Spyro 2: Season of Flame
Spyro 2: Season of Flame is a 2002 platform game for the Game Boy Advance and the sequel to Spyro: Season of Ice. Developed by Digital Eclipse, this game continues the adventures of the beloved purple dragon, Spyro, as he tackles new challenges and environments.
Story
After a refreshing vacation at Dragon Shores, Spyro, along with his friends Sparx, Hunter, and Bianca, return to the Dragon Realms only to discover that trouble has once again found its way home. The nefarious Ripto and his army of Rhynocs have invaded, stealing the fireflies whose magic is crucial for the dragons to breathe fire. Without their fiery breath, the dragons are left breathing ice, which has altered the climate of their world, making it colder.
Determined to restore order and warmth to the Dragon Realms, Spyro embarks on a quest across various regions, including the Sunny Plains, Celestial Plains, and Starry Plains. Along the way, Spyro learns to harness new abilities, such as breathing lightning, which proves crucial in his quest. He also collaborates with familiar faces such as Hunter and Bianca, and aids other characters like Agent 9, Sheila, and Moneybags.
Throughout his journey, Spyro confronts and defeats Ripto’s minions, Crush and Gulp, before facing Ripto himself in a volcanic showdown. After defeating Ripto, Spyro succeeds in recovering all 100 stolen fireflies, thereby restoring the dragons’ ability to breathe fire and bringing warmth back to the Dragon Realms.
Gameplay
As a platformer, Spyro 2: Season of Flame features a rich mix of exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat.
